    Just started lifting. A question.

Any estimations as far as time goes? I know everyone's different, but is a month too fast or is that pushing it ya think?

    Just started lifting. A question.

Hey guys I just started lifting weights, and haven't since high scool. I'm 26 now. How long does it typically take before you up the weight? For example, I've been doing arms and chest every other day for about two weeks. I'm comfortable going up in weight on everything except biceps. Still...

Old remington 700 trigger creep help

Well sure as shit. Took it apart and it was missing a spring. Took one out of the xmark and it shoots like a dream now.

Old remington 700 trigger creep help

I already did that. Still creep in the trigger. I feel like the trigger is missing a part. On the xmark there is a spring that returns the trigger to the proper position to the sear each time but not on this older style one. The trigger just wobbles back and forth when the bolt is open. Make sense?

Using old r700 trigger in AAC-sd

Just got an old style remington 700 trigger and didn't realize before I got it that the safety doesn't fit newer actions. Do most people just dremel that off? Sorry, I'm new to this platform hope that's not a dumb question. I searched but nada.

Gunsmithing Pulled a thread out of my action...

I think it was too short to begin with, yes. The bedding isn't more than 1/16 of an Inch which tells you how much thread it had in. It's a factory screw though and a b&c stock.

Gunsmithing Pulled a thread out of my action...

Just bedded my stock and it was just enough extra thickness that the screw grabbed but when I torqued it down I ripped a thread out.. Option? Chase the threads, get longer front action screw?

Gunsmithing Barrel crooked on bell and carlson stock

Alright, getting ready to apy bedding compound. Bored out a hole in my vise blocks for an improvised barrel vise. Got everything coated in release agent, an the barrel centered up with tape. Wish me luck, first bedding job!

Just got a b&c stock for my first bolt action.. Some questions

From what I could tell the action screws were still centered but I may enlarge them just for piece of mind. I was able to get the barrel perfectly centered by taping the barrel and it hardly raised the action at all. The bedding block is probably just off center 1/16 or so. I'm going to relieve...

Just got a b&c stock for my first bolt action.. Some questions

Hmm. The only thing i dont get is that the barrel is crooked even without the action screws in.. I can slide the action as forward and aft as it will go and its still off center. That's what led me to believe it was just the bedding block that was slightly off center.

Just got a b&c stock for my first bolt action.. Some questions

Ok thanks for the tip. Your talking about inside the actual lug recess correct?

Just got a b&c stock for my first bolt action.. Some questions

I'm in washington. I'm not too worried about resale. I've already roughed it up in preparation for bedding, so I'm just going to bed it since I already have the compound. I'll get it straightened out as much as i can and then leave it be.

Gunsmithing Barrel crooked on bell and carlson stock

Ah ok. Yeah I don't think its the screw holes though because if I press down on the rear tang without any action screws in, the barrel is still crooked. Its not the the recoil lug causing it either because I can slide the action forward and aft and rotate side to side and the barrel is still off...

Did you just bore the holes out to a larger diameter? How did you determine that was the issue?
