Vortex Venom 3-15X44 FFP, anyone have one yet?

Anyone have first hand experience with the new Venom 3-15x44 FFP optic from Vortex? How does it stack up to other glass at the same price point. Looking to place one on a T1x. The specs are intriguing, especially the 10yd min. focus. Thanks

    Tikka T3x Roughtech muzzle diameter?

Looking at the new Tikka T3x Roughtech and Lite Veil rifles. They have threaded muzzles from the factory, 5/8x24. Anyone know what the OD of the barrel is? I'm curious if there is enough shoulder to properly attach a TBAC CB brake. Thank you

    Kimber SRC II - Thoughts?

RPR, safety selector in bad position and touches hand, fit and finish not as refined, rough bolt didnt cycle smooth. AI, at $5k you could buy 2-3 alternate rifles, rifle didn't balance as well while running/stalking Thats the short answer.

    Kimber SRC II - Thoughts?

Agency purchase. We are doing T&E on these two rifles along with a Ruger Precision and an AI. We have ruled out the later two and are down to the Tikka and Kimber.......

    Supportive tactical belt options

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up going with the Tactical Tailor Duty Belt Pad. $30 shipped. The pad was easy to attach to my existing 2" nylon belt. It feels comfortable in the short term. I have training in two weeks and will know more about comfort after wearing it for a few days...

    Eberlestock Little Brother G1

I usually don't review or critique items but I couldn't find much on the G1 Little Brother when I was looking. Here are my thoughts. My Eberlestock G1 and A4SS scabbard arrived a few days ago. I have been able to organize all of my gear but have not deployed or trained with this pack yet...

    Supportive tactical belt options

My current setup is a velcro inner belt on my pants. My 2" nylon belt is attached using velcro to the inner belt. This helps keep everything in place. Very similar to my patrol setup. The old school Safariland holster rides just below my belt line for the reasons you describe. I also run it...

    Supportive tactical belt options

mark5pt56, Let me know how the VTAC feels. That belt doesn't look padded. Appears to offer a wider footprint to help even the load and designed for carrying loads. As stated in my original post, I don't carry anything other than my thigh holster. My vest sits low enough that there is no...

    Supportive tactical belt options

I have been using a standard nylon duty belt to hang my thigh holster from for many years. Ive seen more guys using a wider and thicker belt. They say it helps relieve some pressure on the hips and low back. I dont have anything other than my thigh holster to put on my belt. All other gear is...

    Favorite Multi-tool

Ive always favored Gerber multi tools. Carry mine daily at work, have one in range bag, and one in door pocket of vehicle. They are very easy to open using one hand. A quick flick of the wrist and you're ready to work. I've seen only one or two Leatherman's that were used enough to flip...
