I had one in Iraq. If the beam could be narrowed down, it would make a hell of a weapon sight, but as it is, I think the beam makes about a 3 foot circle at 100 yards give or take. As mentioned above, not really useful unless you need to temporarily blind someone.

I've heard that the trick with Rocksett is to "shock" it with a good smack from a delrin hammer or a block of wood. It's worked for me in the past when swapping AAC mounts.
Another +1 for the KAC mount if you don't need to remove it frequently. Nightforce makes a nice 1 piece mount as well. If you're set on a QD/throwlever mount, LaRue and ADM both make nice stuff. I've got products from all of those mentioned above, but I really like my KAC mount.
Re: lake city 7.62 brass I just picked up 1000 pieces of 7.62 Lake City brass from Wideners for $259. It's listed as LC NATO brass that was pulled down, still primed. Much to my surprise, about 75% was actually LC LR brass. I culled out a few that had crushed necks or other deformities...
Re: Loadng 9mm for a carbine Another +1 for Power Pistol. Even less than max loads seem to be moving out of pistols and carbines. I've even shot it in a F/A sten gun and uzi and you can definitely notice the increased rate of fire compared to a weaker round like Wolf but I've never had a...
