Anyone have input before I buy one? The reviews I've read and watched on youtube has me convinced it'd be worth the money. Looks like the worst groups were in the 1 1/4" range with the good ones falling in at .35" to MOA. One guy shot a 3" average group at 300 yds, not with all his loads mind...
Yes its loud,but I shoot with Caldwell Electric ears muffs....even out calling predators. I made the mistake of shooting it once with no protection.......not sure my ears recovered from that but I got the coyote.
I have a Tikka in 243 that has a 16" barrel from the bolt face, Velocity suffers some mine is hovering just under 3000 fps with 42 Gr. of H414 and 75 Gr. VMAX. I'm almost positive none of the coyotes I've shot knew about the velocity difference or they would have ran faster......
My Tikka T-3 chambered in 243, cut barrel to 16" from bolt face and had Vais break installed.....Friend of mine Dura-Coat it for me. I've laid a lot of Coyotes to rest with this rifle. Does pretty good on paper too....... Soon its going to get new bottom metal and modified for AI mags.
