Re: barrel break in To his, his own. I have followed breakin and not and both rifles shoot 1/2 moa when i did my part. Not sure if either had anything to do with the accuracy or i just had good sticks
Re: 223 for Whitetail 223 will work fine on dear. Is it the greatest no but i have put down plenty of dear rangeing anywhere from 50 to 488 yards (says the range finder) They were also any were from 150 to 250 pounds. On the other hand i have had buddies lose deer hit good behind the front...
Re: mark 4 tracking?? Has anyone got there hands a new mark 4. Have they changed the glass to justify the 2500 to 3000 grand. The ones with the new turrets. How they track as well. That is alot of cash for what was a ressonible mark 4. Thanks for the info
Re: 70 grain 223 load for 1/9 twist? I had a 16.5 with 1-9 twist and things started to spread anyhing past 69 gr. Groups were running 1 3/4 to 2 inch at 100 yards. When i went down to 55s groups went to 3/4 to close to 1/2 inch at a hundered. Have a good one
Hey guys anybody know what the standard thread pitch on the end of the barrel is on the piston driven 556 model sig rifles. Also are these reliable and accurate rifles. Thanks for the intel. Have a good one Josh
Re: What distance is your zero? I have heard that 300 is best for 30 cal. type weapons as the bullet has then settled down and is giving you a true group. As i said just what i have heard. I have always done 100 yard and 500 yard for the bigger 50 cal. type weapon systems. Have a good one
Re: Any .308 Shooters with 20" Barrel Here? Had a AIAE w 20in and it was a deer/yote dump-in fool any were from 100 to 1156. Mostly shoot 175s but it also loved 155 and 168s never tried the 208. You will be happy with her out to 1000 for sure and 20 in makes it a little nicer for tighter...
Re: Need to build a ghillie My 2 cents i always go w a lite color bdu, its easier to go from lite to dark then dark to lite o and natural veg is the edge .good luck on the build Josh
Re: AIAE - muzzle brake or not??? I would have it threaded and a cap put on it, then down the road you are set up for a break or a can. As stated above they are loud as hell but even the light recoil of the 308 is reduced to a 223 witch is nice to shoot. Josh
