Duluth trading ultimate flex firehose work pants with the knee pad inserts. If you don't want the knee pad slots built in, the flex firehose pants are a bit lighter (cooler in the summer) or the dry on the fly nylon based pant. I like my TAD gear pants too, but the duluth pants are the same...
Surefire has installation notes that specifically voids the warranty if the mount is not installed properly. Crush washers are a no-go -- Surefire shims only. That being said, I do recall a thick shim being included with the surefire shim pack. Are you certain it is a crush washer? It will...
I ran a switch barrel for F-class for years that was very lightly torqued - I didn't need more than 20 ftlb. Try shooting groups tightening in 10 ftlb steps to see if you see a difference. I didn't. I settled on 20 ftlb since the removal torque matched the install torque there. Any looser and...

Kelbly's will have the new version of the March 5-40 with .1 Mil clicks ready for delivery shortly. I have the 3-24 now and will be picking one of the 5-40 up as soon as they come in. Great scopes - especially for the price...
Cover the inner area of the rings in blue painter tape and cut it along the edge so there is no overhang. You will have to replace the tape after blasting and before painting. Comes out perfect.
I have had good luck with allowing longer overtravel - tip I got from a F-class shooter - and have not broken another one since; even with pierced primers.
That is a well known issue with Jewell triggers. Stop piercing primers - load lower or have the firing pin bushed - or switch triggers. FWIW: I have had factory rem triggers break from pierced primers too.
The switchblock gas tubes are not standard tubes and are already attached so you would have to cut it shorter which may lead to issues. Also, I believe the porting in the block is tuned for length.
