    Like you said this isn't 15 years ago. You have more and far better options. A 700 back in the day was a decent bet but this day and age there's no reason to go that way.

    Cheap and precision is always a match made in heaven. I would strongly suggest a tikka or bergera but of the ones you listed I guess the savage.

    I emailed them the other day asking about this since the stock recoil pad is probably the worst one I've ever dealt with. They said its in the works and should be released soon but no ETA. I expect in 2 years or so.

    I shamelessly roll kahles on everything. I really like the magpul bipods so far. I got a pair just to see what they were all about and now they're my favorite.

    I got one yesterday at like 930 in fort worth soon as they opened. Definitely need to swap the pistol grip out. I was kinda surprised they didn't include a QD slot up front. Will be fun taking on the deer and elk hunts.
