1. I just got my Manners MCS EH1A stock which I requested be inletted for Remington bottom metal. I later picked up Surgeon w/Mag and forgot to call Manners and change the inlet. Question: Am i better off just getting new bottom metal or should I send it back and have Manners fix the inlet...

I will respond briefly but I do not want to hijack this thread. I primarily shoot 556 Black Hills 77gr (aka mk262). Although, depending on the situation, I will run 556 55 or 62 gr... My rifle is overgassed w/out the suppressor. Running my SF SOCOM (I use the SF Brake) it is way over...

Nice mod!... That would not work well w my c-clamp; however, I had considered using a low profile adj gas block. Having said that, you should not have to make these modifications to a rifle in this class.

I was a KAC fanboy and had an ECC. Today I have a JP LRP07 which shoots fantastic. I also have a KAC SR15 E3 Mod1 14.5" and have been searching for the best replacement. I can sum up my thoughts on KAC in three words -- adjustable gas block.

Interestng thread... I am not spring chicken anymore and as I age, like a fine wine, I find that the idea 1 X per 100 yards does not work as well for me. I guess the idea of the best scope is more related to how you intend to use your weapon. Having said that my Eotech is fantastic upto 200...

Congrats on you new rifle.... I have the 14.5 barrel Mod1 and "she" (aka Betsy) is awesome with BH 77 grain.

There are really 2 questions here: 1. Barrel Break IN... For a chrome lined barrel or SS I shoot 5 to 10 rounds and clean the barrel with a good copper solvent/dry patches/wet patch/dry patch. 2. Regular cleaning... I only use a barrel snake when I finish and then fire a spoiler round...
