Sidearms & Scatterguns S&W M&P 22 compact

A little more than 800 rounds through mine so far, mixed brands and loads. Really likes my old (over 25 years) cases of Std. Vel. Remington Target, and CCI Mini Mags. Only issues were with two bad priming charges, both modern Rem. bulk-junk. Some of the "creep" is starting to wear out of the...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns S&W M&P 22 compact

Regular stocking item at several shops around here, including Gander Mt. I paid $349.00 plus tax for mine, but the promotional 333 ammo has to be sent to an FFL.

    just a question...

One of my Great-Grandfathers came from China, via Ellis Island. Another, from Canada, via Oswegachi, N.Y. They both came here, not as Refugees, but as men who believed they could have a better life due to the greater opportunities. To them, it was a chance to become more than their...

Gunsmithing Half Priced Cerakote for the rest of March 14

PM headed your way, re: Mod. 94 Winchester.

Handloading for a new world order...

Interesting consideration; I didn't realize these loads used corrosive priming, but it's not anything I've used as of yet. Aren't all these cases laquered to retard corrosion, and if so, do your chambers also require special attention? I like this 'study' of yours, and I think it may well...

    Gunsmithing Suggestions for Refinishing

The Cerakote looks good, I have that finish on a few of my bolt-guns. Stands up well to wear, etc., but I didn't do the work. I haven't spent much time on the forums lately, so I'm a bit out of touch. Any suggestion as to who can squeeze-in another refinishing job?

    Gunsmithing Suggestions for Refinishing

Just had a Win. 94 given to my son, found behind some filing cabinets after several years of dust & rust accumulation. Should make a decent back-up rifle for walking the woods here on the farm. I'd like to have it refinished for him (either blasted or polished first), and get it back ASAP...

Who wants a good rimfire tactical scope?

Re: Who wants a good rimfire tactical scope? Although I expect I would buy two of them myself, I share the question implied by DAFAR; How sustainable would sales be after the initial "glut"? I could imply...

Range Report Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone

Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone Look at your lower-right corner on the display after installing the app, and you'll see a "2x" button. Touching the button doubles the display size, practically filling your screen (on both my iPad & my wife's iPad2).

    A4 or A5?

Re: A4 or A5? If you like the slimmer forearm and the butt-hook, you should also look at the A3/5. The front end is just a little trimmer yet, and feels even more comfortable in the hand. Shame you're not nearby, I really like the 3/5, and could let you try them side by side.

Hunting & Fishing Hunting rifle weight?

Re: Hunting rifle weight? I've carried my .350 Rem. Model 7KS (Custom Shop offering, when I oordered it in 1985) all over the elk woods of the Mid-West. Not a "top of the line" scope by most standards, the 2.5x8 Leupold, and a nylon carrying "sling" brings the total weight up to 6 3/4 lbs.

    A4 or A5?

Re: A4 or A5? Although I prefer the overall feel of the A-3/5 over both the '4 and the '5, the A-4 just feels too bulky to me. The tapered forestock on the A-5 is a bit more comfortable for me when shooting off-hand. The front end on the A-4 feels too much like grabbing a 3x3 scrap of...

    Question About Shipping A Handgun.

Re: Question About Shipping A Handgun. IF you ship via UPS, their regulations require UPS Next Day Air, in one of it's several guises. You may also choose to use FedEx, shipping to a Licensee & accepting return from them. If LEO, etc., you can also use USPS. UPS...

    Tacticool stock modification...... lead weights...

Re: Tacticool stock modification...... lead weights... Drill & fill works just fine, both in the buttstock and forearm areas. Lead shot works well, bedded in your favorite compound, and it won't burn or char your stock material like molten lead will. Adding weight for stability or to...
