I've only tried it at about 330 yards which is the longest line of sight area I had available. I'll be shooting at 300 yards or less so that's all I really need... For now.
I'm curious on how that 3.6mm lens will work. I made close to the same system but it was too far away with the standard lens. I think I ended up getting a 16mm lens and now I can get about 4' away with it. I'm also anxious to hear what kind of range you're getting with that 800mW system...
Is there a reason you don't haul in a bunch of loads of sand and use that as the berm instead of digging a huge trench? Sand is cheap... I had a full dump truck hauled in for like 85.00 last year. The sand is "dirt cheap". It's the dump truck you're really paying for.
I have a 100 yard range right now, as well as a nice wide pistol range, and am planning a 300 yard range once I get ambitious enough this summer. I don't really have any advice for you though since my property (20 acres out on the edge of town) is surrounded by hills, and berms. One thing I'm...
They're pretty tough wheels. Plenty of overkill built into them and they'll last as long as I need them to. I'll honestly probably never move it though, and if I do, it'll probably be only a couple hundred yards at most, on an established trail. I basically did it so it would be easier to get...
I didn’t want the tongue sticking out all the time since I’m sure it’d hit me right in the family jewels at some point, so I made the tongue easily removable with these super sweet brackets made from ¼” steel . It stores underneath the bench like this. I have one left handed guy who...
A while ago, I was offered some free firewood if I came and got it. Being that it was about a half mile from my house… and I like free stuff…I went and got it. While I was there, the guy also had a bunch of treated lumber from a deck that he removed. I also took that. I wasn’t sure what I’d...
I've been told that any angle shots, up or down, less than 15% should be considered flat, as far as POA/POI goes. And according to my MIL dot master, there's no calculations for anything under 15% which would support this theory. I guess I didn't realize just how much of an angle 15%...
Maybe I'm going at this the wrong way... What I really want is a 69 grain V-Max, which they don't make. I want it to be fairly accurate in my target rifle, but have good expansion for hunting, self defense etc... In my other rifles. I know, I'll bet everybody wants the perfect bullet... Since...
So it looks like pretty much anything will work I all but my long range rifle, which is 1/9 twist. So let's just forget about those. I'd like to use something heavier than a 55 gr, like a 69 gr. for hunting or self defense, but no heavier, and would like ballistic tip like the V-Max or A-Max...
