Re: First precision rifle build. yes, you can switch the barrel to 260 or 243 later. For starters going with 308 since there is a lot of match ammo available is a good idea.
Re: Loads For .308 Winchester I looked back severral pages in this topic and couldnt find any loads for the berger 200 hybrid. I am thinking about loadig them for F-TR at 1k but would like to see if someone else has had luck with them before going through the work of building a load. Any...
Re: Berger Bullets lot to lot I have not measured my burger bullets but I bought 4000 rounds of the VLD that I shoot and havent had any consistency within the lot. But, I suspect that when I finish with this lot I will have to rebuild the load. I do the same bulk purchasing with primers...

Re: Big Bang VS. Good shot? shot placement is alway #1 but i think a 223 is pushing it on a hog . in the brush i would be happy with a 30-30. But for all other hunting in north America a good 308 will do the Job. My friends Dad has hunted and killed several Elk with his 308 with no issues.
Re: one and only one rifle for any north american game the 6.5 bullet has a long history of taking big game in Europe so anything up to or above this would work. Its all about shot placement
Re: Who has a good homemade case lube recipe? Imperial sizing wax, buy one can of it and it will last practically forever....I cant see why you would need anything else.
