The KAC Barrel Extension Action Wrench (AKA the "Knight Stick") is a KAC-specific tool similar to the Geissele Reaction Rod. This allows solid indexing which then enables you to apply the bonkers force needed to get it off. I've done it, and it works. But honestly in hindsight I probably...
Thanks for the feedback, all! And @Glassaholic, thanks for that excellent write-up. @MNTC - that looks almost exactly like what I've got in mind for mine. Is that the new Badger C-1 mount you're using?
I hate to do another "this or that" thread, but I have researched to the point of analysis paralysis. I'm looking for a new scope for a KAC SR-25 CC. I'd like a relatively short scope that can be cranked down to roughly ACOG magnification levels, but can also be dialed up for longer precision...
Per their rep on an industry forum, they said that the new 2-chamber is meant to improve consistency and accuracy in their large-frame rifles. Evidently their MAMS device would sometimes cause fliers, but in ways really hard to reliably identify or replicate. So instead of spending a ton of...
It's also worth noting that the accuracy of the CC is often quite good. Mine shipped with a 0.72" 100y test target using FGMM 175's. Where the real weight trade-off shows up is when the barrel heats up over longer strings of fire. That said, at this point: get the one you can find. There...
I'm using the Anarchy Outdoors swept handle with a Badger bolt knob, and love it. But feel is a deeply subjective thing, so I can't say it'll work for you.
Has anyone tried using a KAC QDC can on a bolt gun? Their quick-mount seems like one of the most solid and repeatable, and well suited to precision. But I'm not sure I've ever seen one on anything other than an SR-xx. Has anyone else? What were the results?
For a shorter wait, it looks like Manners has 4 of them available in their "flat top" offerings right now: https://mannersstocks.com/stocks-for-sale/flat-top-store./?stock_model=417
