I agree. Try the SCAR first. It has a weird secondary recoil. The BCG is so heavy it produces a forward lunging recoil after the initial from it slamming backward.

To keep the scope on the same rail. Most ar15/ar10 platforms have the rail on the upper and another one on the handguard. Having it on only the upper is optimal. However, some do have monolithic rails.

I have both LaRue and ADM mounts. The ADM mount is a tool-less tightening adjustment. With that comes less resolution on whether it's tight or not. With a LaRue, you just tighten it by fractions of a turn to get it where you want it. You can't do that with ADM. There have been a few guys that...

My LRP07 .308 18" is 9.9lbs with a Magpul PRS stock. 7.9lbs with CTR stock. No scope or bipod included in weight.

Go Larue for a QD cantilever mount if that's the style of mount you want. But you can try turning the nuts another 1/8 turn on the ADM first if you don't want to spend the money. As for the problem - the mount probably slid to the rear lug while it was in the safe, riding in the car, etc.

Do you have another scope and mount to try out? I wonder if the ADM mount is sliding on the picatinny. Then after your first shot goes back up against the front lug.

You two may be right. Suppressors are illegal in MN or that would've been my first option. I suppose if I don't have the velocity necessary for 1k+, I will just have to get a new barrel.
