The one I had seemed to have a more "crisp" feel to it and it did adjust down lighter than my pro's. I don't know if it was just that particular trigger or if they all were that way. Like I said though, not anywhere close to a custom.

Another vote for Jon Beanland! I've had 2 rifles built by Jon and the fit and finish are absolutely perfect and they are definitely shooters! On top of that Jon is a super nice guy with a wealth of knowledge and joy to visit with.

First powder I would try is Retumbo. I'm shooting a 120 gr Nosler BT over 71 gr of Retumbo for about 3370fps and 3/4" groups.

I've had two built by Jon Beanland and I just paid for the parts up front and then for the labor when they were finished.

I hope this works, I've never uploaded pics before so here it goes. This is my first build I just got back not long ago. It's a Beanland built Rem 700 sa, Lilja 12 twist chambered in 22-250AI, Mcmillan A-3 hunter and Shilen trigger w/Tyler trigger shoe. Just started working up loads already...

Also check with Shilen. Their new actions are built by Stiller and you can also order a barreled action from them.
