    Left handed 308

Re: Left handed 308 Look on gunbroker for Remington 700vs left hand. For a while in the '90's they made this gun and it was offered in .308. It had a HS Precision stock. It is very much like the current 700 police. I had a couple in typical varmint calipers and they were good shooting...

Rifle Scopes USO outstanding customer service

Special thanks to Becky and the staff at U.S. Optics My USO arrived and was not as ordered(wrong reticle). Was very usable but not what I wanted. Sent a through the scope picture to Becky and she immediately agreed to make it right. I let her know of an upcoming match within two weeks. She...

Rifle Scopes NF zero stop worth 200 more

Re: NF zero stop worth 200 more Don't buy one without. ZS. If you ever want/ need to sell it you will get your money back. Many shooters, including me, would not even consider buying your used Nightforce unless it has Zero Stop

Suppressors How loud is a 5.56 through a 7.62 Can?

Re: How loud is a 5.56 through a 7.62 Can? Don't have data, but to my ear and many others, my AAC 7.62SD sounds quieter on an AR (.223) than some dedicated .223 cans do.

    Winchester Primers to Blame?

Re: Winchester Primers to Blame? kamikaze, You might also try some Varget or IMR-4064. 4064 has worked well in every 308 I have ever worked with except one, that one came around just fine with a stiff charge of Varget. Years ago, my first custom varmint rifle refused to shoot better than 1...

    Winchester Primers to Blame?

Re: Winchester Primers to Blame? At this point primer brand would be the least of my worries. You are working up a load for a different rifle so it is not a given that anything close to your old combinations will shoot well. Have you checked scope mounting, bedding, got an acceptable trigger etc.

Troubleshooting Failure to Feed on a DPMS LR-308

Re: Troubleshooting Failure to Feed on a DPMS LR-308B Mr. Maim, Same gun here, had same problem. Try,as already suggested, to see if it locks back when magazine is empty. Mine didn't lock back most of the time so I tried an extra power buffer spring for the standard AR15, it takes a few...

Rifle Scopes Should I get Zero stop option?

Re: Should I get Zero stop option? Here is what I suggest. Know or guess the longest distance you will/might shoot, then check the trajectory of any caliber(s) and loads you may use. If this would require more than one full turn (20 MOA if high speed and MOA in Nightforce)then you would be...

    progressive press

Re: progressive press To clarify a bit, the Hornady LNL AP has less potential for a mass detonation because of the slider handling individual primers, instead of a disc full being next to each other in a chain so to speak. My incident drove home some important rules for reloading, especially...
