    Parker Hale M82/84/85/87 and C3/C3A1

You can always get a McHale stock from McMillan, & if they won't inlet it for your particular action, for whatever reason, there are plenty of good rifle builders who will.

    338 build suggestions

What about a Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped barrel? You can get the needed diameter & stiffness for accuracy, without the weight of a stainless tactical barrel. And they dissipate heat well. Non? And I'm not sure what you're thnking in terms of stocks, but given that you plan to hunt with...

Night Vision Badger EFR Mount / Armasight CO-LR Question

The stock in the images which you posted doesn't look like an A4. Might you be kind enough to post a few of the EFR installation in the A4 please. I ask since as I understand it, the A4 doesn't have a lot of room to spare for installing said mount. I'm also curious to see how much, if any...

    Bottom metal help

Some of what you pick depends on what flavor of magazine release that you want built into the unit. So pay attention to this when shopping, & if you can, try out ones with the different types of releases. You also need to decide if you want to alter your action to accept certain types of...

    Gunsmithing Non free-floating to free-floating

If you're switching stocks, & free floating the barrel, ensure that you get a stiff stock. As with some of the cheaper ones out there, & a few which aren't so cheap, if/when you sling up tightly, the stock flexes enough to throw off your POI vs. POA. Especially as compared to how the rifle...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Spray pistol cleaner

Long time ago a fella passed on to me that malf's tend to be cause by the following, in said order. Dirt, Ammo, Parts (gun). Regular cleaning, including disassembly is a standard part of any shooting session. Though the full disassembly type cleaning gets done at home normally. And of course it...

Multi-Tool, after Plyers, what is the next most used tool, you have a knife as well?

For me a knife's always been the most used tool. Going all the way back to my single digit aged years. So I always carry at least one (stand alone knife). Otherwise #2 & 3 would be pliers & file, in no particular order. Files are handy for doing finish work that's a bit too fine for the...

Rifle Scopes Can you leave a rifle scope in a hot car?

You can always purchase a light colored car cover for your vehicle. Particularly if it has a dark colored interior. And... the cover (to some degree) gives you the perk of keeping interesting looking items inside of the vehicle out of sight. Still, it'd be interesting for someone to do a poll...

Gunsmithing Cost for inletting for bottom metal?

There are plenty of smiths/rifle builders on here who'll do the job. As to how long, some of that'll depend upon how busy they are @ the moment. And cost will likely run from say $65 to twice that. Although those numbers depend upon whether or not you already have pillars in the stock, or if...

Need a new bag, can't find what I am looking for

BozFour, thanks for laying out an abridged list of what you take along. It's always helpful to see what others carry with'em, & on occasion get some ideas on how to organize & equip my kit.

    Good info, "tag" for later.

Rifle Scopes Lower than average scope base?

Push come to shove, if you can't find a lower mount that'll work, you might look into LaRue Tactical's RISR, to raise your cheek up a bit. Or if you're running a fixed butt stock, a cheek pack that's been had the length DIY shortening mod will get the job done as well.

    Removing Cerakote

There are strippers out there that'll turn 2-part epoxies, & or Devcon into expensive, messy goo. And while I've not tried them on Cerakote, I'm guessing they're strong enough. It's just chemistry. When I spoke to ITW about removing a scope base which was glued on with Devcon, he told me to...

Any Bicyclists here to give advice?

Lotta good info here, but I'll chime in with my $0.02 (and likely a bit more). Proper fit is HUGE. And by this, I don't just mean frame size, it also has to do with the lengths of the different tubes of the frame's & the bike's geometry (frame angles). This is because 2 folks of the same...
