would a 300 wby mag loaded 220gr interlock be an okay brown bear or bison cartridge? I know a 416 rigby loaded with a 400gr interlock puts cape buffalo down nicely.

I am looking for some good priced accurate bullets for target shooting with my 6.5x55 sweed mauser. I came across the 139gr fmj from privi partisan and was wondering if any body had any experience with them. I'm not expecting lapua performance.
Re: open sight kits for my long action savage 7mm mag I thought about that too but the brush is so thick that open sights would be preferred. I have a low powered optics setup on my 30-06 for black bear hunting.
I just joined the 7mm mag club and went out and purchased a savage 111, accutrigger 7mm Rem mag, I put my leupold vxIII on it and sighted it in and all went well except for the flimsy stock. What would be my best option for stock choice for this gun. Bedded wood, or a fiberglass?
