Yes, white paste grease is normal assembly lubricant according to Kahles. I had that same question on mine. No worries!

New to the forum here, and I've been using the 624i with the SKMR3 now for about 5 months. By all accounts, a great reticle and a great optic. Strelok Pro works perfect with it too. Had it out to 1200 with every expectation met, Very pleased with Kahles.
