Prolly a dumb question but.....I have had the scope since January 2016 and it has been on my accurate ordnance 6.5 since new. I have only put around 600 rounds threw it so the scope has not been used much and most of its use has been in the past few months. I noticed around the parallax knob some white looking grease is coming out around the bottom of it, is this a normal thing? Their is not a lot of it but enough that its made a small ring under the knob and that's how I noticed It. Thanks

I don't own one, so this is somewhat of a guess....

There is probably an o-ring around the exterior of the turret that provides sealing of the internals from the elements and tension between the cap and the turret. The lubrication/grease was probably put on the o-ring during the manufacturing process and is intended to make the tension/drag (when turning the cap) consistent. I doubt very much it's anything to worry about. And as mijp5 mentions above, if you do remove the cap, I would caution you to NOT remove the grease from the o-ring or the inside of the cap. I'm confident it's there for a reason.

Doesn't the cap come off with a 1/16" allen, just like a ton of scopes out there? I don't have mine in front of me
I think I'm a quart low.....
