Painting carbon fiber barrel?

I seem to remember Proof stating cured finishes such as Cerakote are a no go as it affects the resin, and may interfere with the heat dissipation qualities of the CF.
However, a quick search on google shows multiple Proof CF barrels that have been Cerakoted completely.

Asked Proof if their barrels could take Cerakote and was told to simply follow the temp restrictions and it would be fine.
Proof Sendero Lite ... my partner said the shine stood out several yards away
So... apply Krylon and/or Aervo

Three years later, no apparent harm to the CF, just the usual chipping and scratching of the paint, which is nothing, if you find it off-putting, just touch it up.

The proof cerakote issue is about oven bake times, nothing else. Low bake and you are fine. Rattle can or whatever is also a no-problem job.
