Suppressors Suppressor companies- test fire before shipping?

I agree it was crappy for whichever employee(s) shot the can without permission, but it looks like we got some real borderline male Karens in here.

Prior to becoming an SOT I had one or two that appeared to be test fired. At first I was like WTF? Got over it pretty quick as I was thankful paperwork finally came back.
Since becoming an SOT we may get 2 to 5 suppressors out of 100 that appear to have been test fired (guessing just a couple rounds).
What's funny is several of our customers ask us to shoot them and report back with our thoughts. Anymore that isn't necessary as we have shot, own, etc pretty much everything out there.
On a side note 10 years ago I did the deal on a Ford Raptor. Got to the dealer to pick it up and it had 26 miles on it. I didn't care for that one much at all but got over it pretty quick after I test drove it.

I don't think you made the point you thought you did.

Do you all get bent over a imported pistol that has been test fired?
I think we've established that this wasn't a case of the suppressor being "test fired". I think we've also concluded that if the dealer or employee had been honest, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but the likely truth is that they used it knowing that the OP probably wouldn't want them using it. The issue isn't wear and tear on the property, it's shady dealers that don't have any respect for other's property. Before we moved, my dealer was just a guy that worked at an ag center in bumfuck, MN. He just did transfers and sourced stuff for people. He always invited me out to shoot his firearms and his own suppressors, thermals, etc. So when he had a few of my suppressors in his safe, I told him that it would be fine if he wanted to try them out. Totally different situation. He would have never just went behind my back and done it. Now in this case, I wouldn't go in screaming and foaming at the mouth, but I would let him know what i think about dishonest dealers and take my business elsewhere, and leave a truthful review for any potential clients of his in the future. I don't get emotional about stuff or believe in one making decisions if/when they are, but I do expect a certain set of ethics from people I do business with. YMMV

Only a cuck or a simp would find this acceptable and just live with it.
Plenty of gun owners fit into this category. They get shit service because they not only are ok with it, they excuse it and defend it to the end.

Bottom line if you pay hard earned money for a "new" item, you don't expect some gun store redneck fudd to use your shit without permission. The idiots that think this is ok, probably wouldn't mind their car dealer doing burnouts or letting the mechanic take their brand new car out for a joy ride. Same fucking principle.

Nobody is ok with it. Some of you fucking retards have the reading comprehension of a 3 year old.

There is a huge difference between this being the only can he bought and having a bunch of other NFA items tied up with what could be vindictive owners or employees.

Comparing someone using a $1,000 metal tube to fucking your wife is equally as retarded.

You cannot reason with morons and idiots, which there seems to be no shortage of is this thread , on this website and on this planet.

Doesn’t matter what it is. Someone used your new shit. I wouldn’t puss out just because I was afraid they would mess up my other pending cans. If they did that then I would sue…and win.

People like that gunshop’s employees love cucks and simps.

Lets play that out. You have say, $2000 total in 2 cans tied up. They decide to fuck with you, and you have to go with another dealer. This will add like 1-3 months plus the new NFA wait time. So take whatever time you have left and add 14-17 months to that Wait, plus another $200+ in NFA transfer fees and shipping costs.

Then you hire a lawyer.

This would most likely be in Federal court jurisdiction as you are dealing with federal law and items regulated under NFA, and you aren't going to be representing yourself. Even a shitty attorney with federal court experience is going to be $500-600/hr at a minimum. He is going to want a retainer of atleast $5K to even start working on this. Assuming it even gets to a hearing, you have probably spent $5-10K.

Now lets say it stays in State court. You could try small claims court. I don't know about you, but my time is worth somewhere around $80-150/hr. If I am being billed out to a client, even higher than that. How many hours and how much time are you going to spend doing research, filing paperwork, traveling back and forth, ect?

Depending on the complexity, you may still need an attorney to rep you. Shitty local ones start at like $250/hr. Same deal with a retainer, probably $2.5K to get started. Plus all your time.

Maybe you win, maybe you don't. You are still adding most likely a year to getting your products you already paid for. What are you going to sue for exactly? Using an item that did not damage it? There is a term called diminished value. So the difference between a brand new can and one shot a few times is what? $200. so $200X 2 = $400. I doubt they are going to give you anything for loss of use, and doubt there will be anything punitive. Maybe you can try to get your attorney fees back, maybe you don't.

So all that work and effort for what? Get some of your money back and still wait another year. You can look at the totality of the situation and realize, Hey maybe its not worth it. Just wait to get your shit, dont use them again and move on with life is the cheapest and most expedient way. If this is somehow the biggest problem in your life, consider yourself blessed. Is the value of your life and time so worthless you would waste it on this bullshit?

So anyway this plays out, talking a bunch of shit like a retard about suing and trying to be the biggest asshole in the room, YOU STILL FUCKING LOOSE.

Attorneys love morons like you, Its how they make their Boat and Vacation Home payments. You are playing checkers in a world of chess players.

I have the money to do it, and it would be worth it to me.

No way I’d puss out over someone trying to transfer me a used item when I paid for new items.

As I said, only cucks and simps would find this acceptable and just live with it.

Guys, I don't even think the OP is here anymore...
I think we solved his problem.

So then just beat his ass 🤷‍♂️.

@Bigfatcock nailed it (no pun intended 😆)

There has been a lot of the "what if he...", and "he might jam up your.....". Fuck that. No one, especially some self righteous desk jockey, should be using intimidation to get away with shit like this. Be it in this industry, or any other.

Fuck that dealer. I'd call his ass out, them put him on blast everywhere. I'd request F3 transfers, and bet your ass if he fucked with them, I'd be on the phone with his local fed monkey.

Then, when it was over enough for me to be forgotten; I'd beat his fucking ass again 🤷‍♂️

Yayaya.....bench press, bow hunt, blah blah

You're one of the few with some common sense in this thread.

Comparing someone using a suppressor with having sex with your significant other is insane. Folks need to get out of the cabin in the woods.

Hope you guys dont mind if I dirty up your significant other a little. When you get her back just wipe her down, douche her one or twice and she is good to go. Whats a little meat in the CAN between friends. :ROFLMAO:

Unless you married a virgin or are dating a virgin, it's the same as sharing a fleshlight that you just wiped off afterwards.
