Got out today to put some more rounds down this barrel. I only had it out that first outing with the 52SMK. I wanted to shoot some 77 SMK. I loaded some up with 23.2gr TAC.
Super slow for a 20" barrel at 2584.. Should be in that 2750-2800 range.. They started shooting though, Im going to do a load workup and see if these groups tighten up any before switching to 8208, AR Comp or H4895 to test.
Here are a few 5 shot and 10 shot groups. I didnt have a lot of time with the storm on top of me. Wind was blowing good and raining. Looks promising though!
Here also 2 groups from some 69 TMK/8208 ammo I had laying around. Speed up where it should be and much better SD's than the TAC....

Just got back from testing some TAC charges with 77smk since 23.2gr was super slow just under 2600 and some PP2000MR with 77smk..
Both did really well, found velocity I was looking for in that 2750-2800 range, no pressure issues, and shot some really good accuracy wjth some charges..
Looking forward to play some more with PP2000MR. Ill post targets in a little bit when I get the info downloaded

Yep, MEGA SBU thick walled upper and mega billet ambi lower. I grabbed a bunch of those MEGA SBU thick uppers when ZEV bought MEGA and they were dirt cheap
Here the 77smk PP2000MR target.
No pressure signs and that 26.4gr charge has a nice 2795 velocity and 5 shots in the 0.4s .
I was simply doing a pressure test today as Ive never loaded 2000MR. Was using some Norma Greenfire primers, not sure if that played into the results at all.
Now that I have some velocity numbers im gonna dial in a load in that 2750-2800 range with some better primers and do a seating depth test.
I also did a mini 3 shot each TAC pressure test. Now that I have some data I'll test further in that 24.2 - 24.6gr range.

Loaded up a mini seating depth test today with both PP2000MR and TAC.
My goal of this initial testing Im doing is to find an accurate lowd with a ball powder thst flows nicely so I can run a bunch of 77 precision rounds on my automated 1050.
I got a bunch of these 77smk pulls from American Reloading and I have 8lb of both PP2000MR and TAC that I dont use for anything.
Looks like the PP2000MR likes 2.25" COAL. It was windy today but still was stacking shots in their.
TAC was liking that 2.245" COAL with an SD 10 at 2772..
Both powders shooting the optimal charge sub 0.75moa today in windy conditions with storms rolling in..
Ill load up 25rd of each and test at a longer distance and make a final decision then run off the few thousand 77smk pulls to fill the ammo cans for practice.
After that Ill do some actual accuracy testing with this barrel using 8208, AR Comp, Varget and H4895 with 77smk, 77 TMK and 77cc to see how tight this thing will shoot.

I loaded up some 77 TMK "Pulls" from American Reloading over 23.6gr 8208XBR Wednesday and they shot really good. All groups were sub 0.75moa with one a cloverleaf and the other 0.5's.
Im now going to run off all these 77smk and 77 tmk pulls on the automated 1050 and fill some ammo cans for practice.

The cut rifle 18" SPR barrels they are making/selling now with the phased gas array for $450 are an absolute steal. They need to come back in stock so I can buy a couple.
