“Texas Plinking” 1 MOA/1K Yard Challenge Videos

If you listen to the shooters talking you’ll see most have only shot that far once or twice (or never) and many have just got their rifles and got into long range shooting

All the disciplines of shooting are acquired over time which shows between shooters in this series.

For Fclass guys this challenge wouldn’t be much different than a match or practice setting. Not that they necessarily will do any better but a 10 shot string at 1 moa at 1000 yards is their goal when loading and practicing anyways.
My favorite guy so far has been a guy with a RH action but LH port, so you can load and fix malfunctions without coming off the gun.

Then proceeds to come off the gun after every shot....

I want to sign up. I’m not far from him. Would like my 12 yo son to try as well with his Valkyrie but he needs a little more practice and long range dope. I’ve followed his YT since early in his channel.
Good luck with that. I tried to contact him several times, no reply, so I gave up.

That’s me! I’m shooter #2, Scott with the Tikka. Wind was 15-20 mph that day from about 8:00, gusting to 25+. Brandon is a great guy, his mom is a hoot. Cool range, I enjoyed the challenge. Other shooters were good guys. First guy’s zero was low, he fixed it then hit both plates before he left.
Nice shooting considering the wind! Normally I wouldn't even make the trip to the range if that was in the forecast. I'll be making the trip there in a couple of weeks and hoping for a calmer day!

That week we had fairly calm winds, 5-10 mph but when I got up Saturday morning the flag on my house was standing at attention! I knew it was going to be tough at the range. His range is wide open other than right at the shooter (protected by trees and trucks) and right at the target. Between shooter and target is lower than both so our bullets are much higher than the grass on the ground. Thankfully his new berm was fluffy, dry and visible so I was able to spot my misses. I initially dialed for 1.7Mil of wind but first shot was 1Mil right. I held that to get the impact. Never could connect on the 5", even after recording a shot 10 rounds at it and scared it good, but still no impacts. My reticle almost fully covers the 5" target. May think about changing scopes for more magnification and thinner reticle lines or a floating dot.

Either way, it was a lot of fun, glad I did it. Super thankful to my buddy Chad at Custom Reloads of Dallas for his help in load development. He's a great guy so if any of y'all are in need of precision ammo, hit him up.

Seems like I remember once or twice that the easiest way to reach Brandon is on IG. I don't have IG but I also don't have a way to compete in the contest. The time needed, the time needed on a range to get out several hundred yards, etcetera. But I enjoy the show and root for each person. We can talk about it but that is different than doing it. Reminds me of what Mike Tyson said.

I think you're right about IG. I don't have IG but emailed him a couple times and got lucky and ran into him personally. He was a cool guy. His mom and a couple other from his inner circle were there and they were all super nice, fun people.
