Out of the 4, which would you purchase and why? Obviously, I want ballistic ability within the package. I am new to this, so I don’t know what I don’t know, but would prefer not to have to purchase another one because I’m disappointed in the performance of the device, or the image sucks. Would you also need to still purchase a Kestrel to pair to work with them? Make Recommendations like you were talking to a functional idiot, because I’ve been led to believe I am. Please let me know the pros and cons of your recommendations. Thanks

I have/had the Leicas, the Revic and the Vector X. The best would be a combination of the Leica’s glass and eyebox, the Vector’s display and information available and the Revic’s laser and buttons. I finally settled on the Leica because of the glass, ergonomics, AB Elite and the laser is very good. If I were using mainly for competition I would go with the Revis. They’re very good overall and easy to use. The Vector X was fussy to use, they to be focused and the ip distance set precisely. The glass was very good, but the ranging button was hard to find and the menu was a little complicated. However, it made much more information available in the display than any of the others. If you’re playing Revic first, Vector X second. If you’ll be using the binoculars a lot for hunting or general watching and informal target/long range play then I’d get the Leicas.

I've gone round and round on this (I have another thread started with quite a few responses if you want to search it).

Short answer: The One BLRF doesn't exist. At least not for me. I think you need to either prioritize hunting or comps or buy multiple sets.

I think the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ represent the pinnacle hunting specific laser rangefinding binos. The glass in the HD-B style is excellent and the only thing better is non LRF alpha binos.

For shooting comps, I think the Vector X's are a better comp-specific set of binos as their readout is better, the display/response is fast, and having a mil reticle can be nice. Personally, I ended up with a set of Fury 5000 ABs for comps. These were the lowest on my personal list of options that I thought I would buy, but glass is decent - particularly since matches are not shot before/after sunrise/sunset. The ballistic solution readout is comparatively slower, but for the matches I've shot, this is not really an issue. For matches, you could even step down to the non-AB Fury's, and save another +/-$400.

If you want to spend $7k on two sets, the Geovid Pro AB+ and the Vector X is the way to go in my opinion. If you prioritize matches, I'd either get the Vectors or get Fury's plus a set of 15x56 ($800 Fury 5000 + $2k Zeiss 15x56 HDX LRP, which is the same price as a set of Vectors). If you prioritize hunting, I'd get the Geovid AB+.

Hi I asked this in another thread on the vector x, I’ve also emailed saphron/vectronix with no response. I’m going to hopefully go out and verify this for myself today or tomorrow but does anyone know if any of these bino’s that utilize AB are giving corrected firing solutions? I know to see the angle corrected distance on the vector x, the ballistics needs to be off. I have no idea if the firing solution is LOS or corrected distance. Also I’m interested in knowing if they are connected to the kestrel would that give a corrected solution or if the inclination needs to be entered manually

The Leicas use angle in the ballistic solution. Can't speak for the rest, but it would be stupid for them not to include that in the math.

Agreed, I don’t why they can’t just state it. I know there were some at one point in time that didn’t, or allegedly as I read it on another forum. Being that I never got an answer I went and checked from the steepest angles I could find in my shooting area and to be honest it literally made no difference which was surprising the LOS and EHR were all within a few yards. I’m going to have to find some steeper terrain to try to verify but I think for 99% of the match shooting I do it won’t matter
