Hey gents,

Wanting to get back into the game... I have been really wanting a gas gun and also a 6.5CM caliber rifle. I started doing my research here and couple other places and have come to between the GAP10G2 and Seekins SP10. From what I understand, the GAP10 is a seekins SP10 with a Bartlein barrel. I want to say the GAP10 is closer to the SP10M from what I understand as far as being "handcrafted" together by a gunsmith.

I am looking for a sub-moa gas gun. I have heard shooting gas is much different compared to bolt guns, so I welcome the challenge.

That being said, what do you guys think?

I've looked at JP as well, but those start going up in price and it's going to eat into my glass budget which is not good either. Currently I have a Bushnell OG HDMR that I will put until I get something else for this rifle.

Intended use will be occasional range time, and I'd like to shoot at a couple PRS matches in the FL area.

I found a good condition, light used SP10 6.5 for $2500. Otherwise I can't find any new SP10s anywhere, and GAP10s usually have a long wait time (unless you cath one here)

I called both companies to ask some questions, but neither has gotten back to me.

I also considered a 6 ARC, but I'm wanting a AR10 style rifle for this go around. I don't see myself shooting past 1000 (which is really as far as you can go in FL and that's a 4-5 hour drive)

I'm not a fan of reloading, but I can reload if need be. I rather just go shoot.

I have no experience with the rifles above, but have a 6.5 Creed in a AR-10. You mentioned that you don't reload. I would suggest Norma 130 Match. With a BC of .581 and velocity of 2750 fps from a 18" barrel and .750 moa from my Bartlein barrel. It's worth a look and affordable.

I will probably end up Reloading. I haven’t reloaded in 10 years. Still have all my stuff. But absolutely will get commercial ammo. Never been a fan of reloading. Just not something I enjoyed. I do love normal ammo so i will check it out.

I ended up getting a seekins sp10

I won’t comment on the GAP because I don’t have any experience with them, I do have some recent experience with JP and Seekins. Seekins customer service is outstanding, their rifles are outstanding. My experience with JP on the other hand hasn’t been all that great. Ordered a LRP-07 in Nov 23, 18 weeks later it arrived and shot like shit, the SS muzzle break that I ordered for the rifle rusted up and their customer service reps have always acted like they would rather be getting a colonoscopy than talking to a customer. Don’t get me wrong, I love my JP rifle, fit and finish on it are second to none, it’s a premium rifle but it comes with a less then premium barrel. If you pay top price it should all be premium.

Yeah I understand. I left a VM to JP and GAP and nobody got back to me. Seekins picked up and we chatted on the phone and they said any issues your rifle, we will make it right no matter what. Gave me sense of confidence.
