I agree. When I do my tests I going to start my velocity at around 2550 then stop at pressure signs/2760ish whichever comes first. Will likely start with H4895 powder and go from there.

Haha thanks, I heard h4895 is one of the best for 308 win. I have a box of new lapua palma SRP brass ready to go! Still waiting on a 24” criterion barrel from NSS that should arrive within the next few weeks hopefully. I also want to get some good ol’ IMR 4064 but it seems overpriced/hard to find at the moment.

I've used IMR 4064 for decades in various 308's with long (24'-27") bbl's, and have 15 lbs of it sitting around. It's always preformed well with the old 168, 175 SMK's using either 4064, RL-15. Currently my SBR 18.5" really works well w/the 169 SMK, and H4895. My long barreled 27" is still loving the 185 Juggernaut behind VarGet.
