I own the 5-25x50 (SCR-Mil) and the XTR II 4-20x50 (Horus 59). The clicks on both scopes are 0.1 mil. Both scopes have good glass and track flawlessly. Although both scopes are lit, I hardly ever use them. I have struck 16-inch breast plates at 1000 yards with both scopes on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Therefore, the scope will easily get you to 800 depending on your rifle and ammunition. Depending on your preferences and intended use, the XTR II is a fantastic scope, in my opinion, especially considering its price. Over the course of a weekend, I used tripods to compare it against the Bushnell Elite LRTS and the Vortex Viper PST scope in various lighting conditions. I retained the Burris and gave the others back.
Since I prefer the H-59 reticle for long-range competition shooting, I want to sell the 5-25. For long-range shooting and hunting, the SCR-Mil reticle on the 5-25 is likely a better all-around reticle. For fast follow-up rounds on PRS-style shoots, I like the Horus 59. The H-59 is, in my opinion, excessively crowded for most hunters. Since I prefer the bigger reticle lines/dots on the mid dot reticle for hunting and don't require the small 0.2 MIL windage lines, I have a Japanese-made Weaver Tactical 4-20 on my varmint rifle. Additionally, the Weaver Tactical 3-15 and 4-20 are excellent scopes. When utilizing a Mil dot or MRAD reticle, I like the 0.1 MIL clicks that they provide over MOA.
