Weird that the velocity barely changed over that range of charges.

Latest load that really works out of my POF 16" Revolution gas gun.
Sierra 169SMK's
LC Brass, I sort by year now and these were '07's
CCI34 primers
IMR 4046 powder
43 grains on the nose
2.820 COAL (I'll have to look up the ogive measurement and will update when I do)
.004 under fired case length (1.625 on the Hornady comparator)

10-shot group data after bulk loading on a Dillon with manual powder throw
2528.9 FPS average
SD8.0
ES 24.3

This was sub-MOA for a 10 shot group. I probably could have made it tighter but my scope was dialed for POI and I took out the "dot" to aim at.

I've since experimented with the Berger 175 OTM's with Vhitavouri 550. First load was slooooow but five shots touching. Came in at 2289 FPS but super accurate. I had one result with a higher charge that was almost as good but need to do a 10-shot proof group first. I have 185 Juggernauts arriving today and will test those on Saturday. I have a feeling both would be better with 4046 but the VV can be used in a powder thrower and it burns so clean.

Anyone use H4895 or AR Comp with 155s and 168s? What is a good place to start with those components?
I have fired a ton of 155's of various flavors (150 FMJ-BT, Hornady 155 HPBT, and Sierra 155 SMK) with H4895. A charge in the 41.7-42 gr range, loaded to mag length is the ticket. Seems to work great with just about all of these, and doesn't beat the gun or brass up too much. This is with LC brass as well.

I have some Lake City match brass as well as some new Starline small primer I am wanting to try. Also have some Sierra 169s, 155s of both the 2155 and 2156 variety. I will find something that shoots.

Anyone work with BLC2 in 147-155gr range? I bought some during the 2020 dry up just to have some extra powder. Only time I've used it so far was loading some 222 for a friend. Shot tight in his gun.

Tac has been working well for me with the 150 Hornady FMJ, for a cheap blaster load. 10 rounds into a solid 2 MOA out an AR 10. Still I want to try BLC2, I want to see just how tight I can get these 150s to shoot (mostly just like tinkering with loads).

Bottom group is 43gr of Tac under 150 FMJ, LC match brass and CCI 34s

With TAC and 150s I think it was 40.5 in military brass for an accurate load out of my rifle, and 42.5 matched the older 150gr surplus stuff like aussie or radway etc etc

BLC2 you have to put like 45-46gr in there for the same thing
What kind of speed did you get with Tac and 40.5? I am only getting 2680 with 43gr out of a 20" with the 150s.

Probably like 2400 out of my 16", the 42.5 was 2550-2600, with a short 308 I don't really care about velocity it's not like my sig 716 with a 1-5x scope is going to 1000 yards.
How do you like the Sig, have you tried grouping any match bullets? I get that optic is not optimal for that.
