I think there are some practicalities involved with the entire Uke situation. When Ukraine was the only conflict it was easy to focus on. That day has passed. It has served its purpose as a test bed for munitions and equipment, that’s the best that can be said of it although there were certainly other goals that won’t come to fruition. Lots of BAA’s and SBIR’s out right now to address the issues discovered there. Unfortunately it has also allowed adversaries to see the weakness of the western nations, which is the real danger and primary ingredient for future events. This may very well cause MORE conflict because they see an opening.

My response was, well whats stopping Russia from flattening all of their cities if all options are on the table... well then NATO would step in... so you want to push a Nuclear exchange with Russia over Ukraine? Is Iran really the main question or is it Ukraine? Because if it is Iran, then Ukraine is a now a footnote. If it is Ukraine, then Iran is an avenue for Russia to be divided in its efforts and approaches regarding Ukraine. I’m quite sure that this has been considered by the strategists already. Alliances(including the BRICS allegiance) factor into the equation. We would all probably be better off recognizing that currently Ukraine, Iran and Israel are being used as proxies against Russia and Russian influence with Iran’s subsequent downfall being a goal as well. It’s hard for many to understand or accept, but there is a hierarchy among countries - the smaller and weaker ones get used to move against other stronger countries. It just happens to be wrapped in propaganda and blood.
