That would indeed seem to be the case, sans intelligence agencies. Until the money runs out. It then raises a significant question: where is the money now flowing? It’s a clue. The historical precedent of what may be occurring is legion so it cannot be dismissed. It has real implications for Ukraine. Which raises another aspect: could it be that Russia wants the Iranian conflict in order to divert US attention/$$ and therefore give them more advantages in Ukraine? I have no idea, but what I do know is that every event contains an opportunity for those willing to see them.

At the same time, you're right that what is happening will greatly reduce ukestan capacity to conduct any kind of war action against Russia. I personally do not think EU is neutered. If pushed they are more than able to pick up the slack. Thing is will they stick together and stick it out, historically on that one they tend to fragment as well.
