Not gonna buff out

Prayers for all those above who shared some damn nasty hospital pics.
Gives me the shivers.
Wish you speedy and complete recoveries

Rode dirt bikes all my life, no bad wrecks. A few street bikes sprinkled in for the hell of it

Decided I needed a bucket list Harley.
Got a real nice 04 Electra Glide but never really felt comfortable on it.
After 3 years riding amongst the idgits on the roads I let her go and don't miss it at all now that it's gone

My submission.

Had one of those installed at C6-7 last night. Probably caused by the infantry life of Kevlar helmets etc and breaking T10-L2 over 15 years ago which has caused kyphosis and placed long term pressure on the cervical spine. Surprisingly got home today.

Still laughing at how my wife asked the surgeon if I’d need to modify my weight training to prevent further damage (C5-6 isn’t happy either) and he straight up shut her down telling me to keep lifting and change nothing.

10 year followups have excellent results.

Yeah I’ve spent a solid amount of time making sure this was the best option and they seem to be bloody robust. Thankfully it’s not needed lower down as I’ve also read that they usually end up with fusion of lower vertebrae when placed from thoracic down. Was supposed to have it done two years ago but that surgeon must have just bought his wife/mistress a new Maserati as he tried to sting me for three surgeries instead of just this one. Nerve block two weeks ago didn’t solve this flare so this was the next step for discussion.

Got the mummy wrapping off this morning. My view for the last 3 weeks.

Now aircast. Supposed to flex knee and ankle a couple times a day (ankle has to be with cast off).Still non weight bearing for 3 more weeks. Then I start physical therapy.

Decided to keep the bike. Foot Pegs (oem) , brake reservoir (ebay) , right mirror (ebay) , oil fill plug (oem) , battery fairing piece (Amazon), and windshield (not decided) all need replaced. Dent in tank can be fixed. Cost of parts minus dent fix is less than $600. One of the zippers will need replaced on saddle bag. Probably not going to replace aftermarket highway pegs (the right one took the brunt of the force).

Going to be on scrap title til I can get the work done and get it safety inspected to get it on a rebuilt title. Decent payout from insurance especially after I sent in receipts of the work I did on it in April (16,000 mile service by dealer, new tires, sprocket, and chain by me). Most of that money is going to getting my 2012 taco headgasket replaced currently. Was going to be doing that this fall. Caught early, coolant leaking to atmosphere, machine marks still visible with no pitting and no need to deck the surface.

Some scraping of muffler tips but I don't care as much about that. Will likely get a mustang seat for it whenever I get to doing the work. Not riding til next summer at the earliest.

Fixing tank dent will likely get it painted like one of the factory styles but dark blue in place of red.
