Just been playing around with the 3 to really figure out the best applications for pairing and each. I really wish you could use the Kestrel and Sig at the same time in ABQ but all is good.

5700X is version 2.2 and ABQ is updated to 3.4.4

A couple issues I'm currently running to @DocUSMCRetired. Currently my when connected to my 5700X, I cant stream wind? The kestrel symbol on the bottom us blue and the wind speeds are grayed out, but no response. 5700 is also in Live.

I also cant hit the LRF icon to pull T/H/P from the Kestrel.

Clarification question, what is "Auto Length" in regards to Bullet Data?

You need to reboot the Kestrel. Hold the power button while you remove the battery and wait 30 seconds. Then put the battery back in. Make sure you have the PIN system turned off. Bluetooth set to max.

Auto Length is a guestimate for bullet length when you don't know and cant measure them. Usually to be left off.

'Alright @DocUSMCRetired, I consider myself a pretty tech-savvy guy. I mean, I can write web pages, functions, and whatnot, but I can't figure this out.'

I followed your command. Removed the battery from the Kestrel. Push and hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then while still holding, re-insert the battery and let go. It powers on, and I believe does the reset you requested, because I then need to recalibrate the compass.

I removed the kestrel from the app, deleted the app, and reset my phone. Using an iPhone 16 Pro on iOS 18.5, I reinstalled the app, added the kestrel, calibrated the compass, set the kestrel button to "blue," and made the winds gray out, but it still shows zero response to wind changes. Thoughts? I'm also open to talking live about this because I would love to get this resolved. We are trying to do longer-range shooting with canyons and would like to use the combo pair as assistance.

Got it to work. I think the process is 1) Remove the battery. 2) Hold the power button down for 30 seconds and then release. 3) Place the battery back in and power on. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to place the battery back in while holding the power button. Either way, reset everything again, and now it seems to be working.

You don't need to hold the power button when placing the battery back in. But this reboots the Kestrel and should get it working again. You don't need to uninstall any apps either. Just pull the battery from the Kestrel while holding the power button for about 20 seconds. Put the battery back in, and it should work. Don't need to remove it from the app etc.

Thanks, Doc. I had gone through the reset process of the Kestrel several times, and it still wasn't working. I thought maybe something was wrong with the app download. So I went through this process.
  1. Unpair the kestrel.
  2. Delete the ABQ app.
  3. Reset the Kestrel.
  4. Calibrate the compass of the Kestrel.
  5. Restart the phone.
  6. Download the ABQ app and log in.
  7. Pair the Kestrel.

And that worked. I don't know where the hiccup was, but simply resetting the Kestrel wasn't fixing it.
