This reminds me of a coworker’s father. He was a CHP offfcer who was invited to assist a State Trapper on a Predator depreciation. They were calling in some coyotes that had been killing sheep. As the officer was lining up on a yote at about 400 yards, the Trapper’s shotgun went off 3 times accompanied By a blue streak of curse words. As the ‘yote took off, the officer turned and saw 3 dead puma. The trapper was pissed about the paperwork he now needed to do. Komifornia banned hunting of mountain Lions back in the ‘90’s.
