It’s not a rifle but how about if it’s the cost of a rifle?

Where did you score the firing pins, I finally gave up trying to get some spares through Mile High.

Which size?

The LFP’s came from MHSA today (#0509) and the SFP’s came from Euro Optic (#26544) yesterday as they had a couple last week so is grabbed them.

The springs are (#0510) and they came today from MHSA as well.

How is that pulsar
I like it a lot. The XL60 is pretty damn clear. Just smoked one today at 375yds. The little Berger 105 hybrid went straight through the coyote, zipped right through the other side. Barely any blood loss. Ran about 50 yards and dropped. Think I’m gonna try the VLDS again instead.

Been hearing it for years, expecting one soon, but man oh man it's going to have to be really special to improve over the Nomax33 - that thing makes a .300NM feel and sound like a 308WIN.
Did you get a regular one or “RR”? The RR is still amazingly quiet. I have 2 of them and one standard. But for pure noise reduction and pleasant shooting I honestly don’t think you can beat the standard 338 ultra.

My buddy chambers barrels for a lot of PRS guys in Wisconsin and Illinois, and I am debating taking one of my old dashers and chopping it, retreading it 7/8 just out of curiously how the ultra 50 would sound… purely a fun thing..

Yeah, RR version. Which leads me to a related question: what suppressor cover is a good fit for an Ultra338?

Here's payment for the pic thread tax....

Struggling to hit IPSC steel at just shy of a mile on a moonless night with 300NM AXSR. UNS LR A3 was struggling hard at that distance, so holds were very "whatever"

I have 2 standard Gen1 338 Ultras and 1 Gen2 338 UltraSR. I run Armageddon Gear covers on all 3. I’ve had the first one since 2017, still going strong. The SR model takes a different style cover than the standard BA models, and they make one specifically for it.

For my SR the SR collar seems to be a challenge. I wound up having to DIY.

Using this stuff, doubled by turning it inside itself. Then wrapping with muffler wrap and zip ties then Krylon.

It does present a challenge that requires a different solution than the standard ones. I don’t know if you read my post above yours but AG does make a cover especially for the SRs that has a retention solution that works well with the collar, and accommodates the additional length as well.

I use Armageddon gear covers. They work great. Like others said, make sure you get the SR specific version.

Which one of those fancy high dollar clip ons is that?
