308 AR10 Build Info/Picture Thread

I am running factory ammo 140 grain American gunner . I get around 1 MOA -1.25 MOA . I could reload but I don't see the point for DMR matches . I had the match director help me true my velocity at 850 yds ( that's the farthest we can shoot due to the terrain . every shot was in the water line we had painted on the target ) most stages are 12 - 20 rounds I notice no P.O.I shift . To date I have not had one single malfunction . I am just a wore out retired electrician trying to keep my mind sharp and enjoying the people around me .
Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it

My contribution.

GGP billet upper and lower.
Luth stock and tube
JP silent capture sprint
Odin works 22” +2 barrel and matching BCG
Cross Machine 17” handguard with built in ARCA
Rise trigger (going to replace this with another diamond, it’s a decent trigger but just can’t compete with the TT for a match rifle).

Still doing load development. Did a handful of 130gr eldm’s, meh. Did another handful of 140 SMK’s, also meh. I was trying shooters world “the creed” and I’m pretty certain that’s it. It’s a super fine ball and the case is so underfilled I’m gettin shit speed (2600 at .3 over book max which claims closer to 2800) and the lack of case fill is causing inconsistency. Like 25sd is the best I’ve pulled off when I can typically get single digits with just about anything.

I haven’t had any h4350 in eons, I was always using rl16 for my creedmoor bolt gun so I’m going to order a pound of that and see if I can do better with it.

Gun looks nice and runs well though 😂😂.

How you liking the +2 gas on the 22"

Man I like it so far. This is my first ar10. I’ve had a ton of accurate ar15’s but never bothered with the bigger one. I started ahooting the gas gun show this year in the DMR class and it was so much fun I put this together to shoot open next year.

I’ve added zero weights to it so far, just as it sits I can spot my own misses at 350 yards which is very little flight time so it’s very flat recoil.

Once I get a load the rifle actually likes and I can stretch it out I’ll be happy. I was expecting snappy recoil with a lot of muzzle jump but it’s pleasantly surprised me. The only oddball thing is the gas port was too small to cycle as it came from Odin. I did some reading and a lot of guys were having to open the port to .086” from .081 it comes as. I did this, and it cycles and locks back like a champ.

I didn't know Odin offered a +2 in 308, oh never mind you didn't state the cartridge. 6.5creed I'm guessing? What buffer are you currently using? You can either lighten the buffer and/or the bcg and not open the port up. From rifle to a5 to carbine i have many different ways to use buffers and springs.

Enjoying the rattle can paint job. Shooting 200gr SMKs suppressed is a vibe I didn’t knew I needed.
