What did you do in the reloading room today?

I don't want to take it apart. I will go back to the hardware store and buy the hardware again and lay it out and list dimension's and hardware sizes, stack up and post pictures. give me a couple days to post it. Drilling and tapping the handle for the 2, 4mm screw was a bitch. The handle is...

Has rcbs gone down in QC or was always bad?

I have placed 6 orders with them directly in the last 2 years and have not had any problems with service, shipping speed or quality of the parts.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

I modified the handle on my RCBS bench priming tool. I put return springs on it to keep the handle up when you let go of it. Every time you would let go of the handle is falls down. It's really annoying.

    Primers

I have been buying primers on Gunbrokers. You have to pay between $19 and $50 shipping for each order. The more you buy at a time the cheaper they are. You can buy one brick for $130 to $190 shipped or buy 5 brick lots for $500 shipped.

To MOS or not to MOS

I decided to send my Lone Wolf G20 long slide back to LW and have them machine it to their “Slide melt” Trijicon RMR cut. The RMR cut will allow a few other optics to be mounted, but I’m going with a Trijicon. The rear sight cut will be retained.

To MOS or not to MOS

Still leaves me out I have G20L slide and they don't list G20 or G21 on their drop down choices.

To MOS or not to MOS

I want a cut but don't want to be locked into one specific sight or small group of sights. So is there an option? Agency doesn't offer cutting service for Glock 20 or 21 slides

To MOS or not to MOS

That would be my guess. Nobody else seems to offer the MOS cut.

To MOS or not to MOS

From Maple Leaf site FAQ: Converting non-MOS slide to MOS footprint. Non-MOS slides cannot be safely machined to accept the Glock MOS footprint. This is due to the location of the rear iron sight dovetail relative to the drop safety mechanism. Factory MOS slides have the rear dovetail...

To MOS or not to MOS

The rear sight on a Glock Factory MOS slide is machined farther to the rear to make more room for the MOS cut in front of it.

To MOS or not to MOS

Thanks for the information. Maple Leaf’s site FAQ section answered one of my questions. Why isn’t a Glock MOS cut offered forward of the rear sight dovetail cut on a standard non MOS slide? “The rear dovetail sight cut on a Glock factory MOS slide is father to the rear of the slide. This is...

To MOS or not to MOS

I did buy another slide to cut up so I don't have to alter the factory G20 slide. It's a long slide

To MOS or not to MOS

Will do thanks. Lone Wolf also does slide machining for optics,

To MOS or not to MOS

I just bought a new gen3 Glock 20sf. I'm in CA that's all we are allowed to buy. I bought a new Lone Wolf g20L long slide and a KKm 6" barrel for it. I was going to send the slide to CH and have a MOS cut done to it. I had planned on shooting hot loads with it. After reading about screw problems...

    WTB 10mm brass

I buy 10mm Starline Brass from Starline online. It's about 20 cent each in 500 and 1000 round bags new. It comes with large primer holes. It will say backordered, but if you put it in the cart and check out it will arrive at your house in less than a week. No tax and free shipping. I just got...

    10mm Auto primer question.

I read where 10mm and 45acp brass with small primers are generally used for indoors target shooting. I always look at the primer size when buying pistol ammo because I want to keep it all the same size primers when reloading.

Defiance XM Length action for 6.5 PRC build

I used a Defiance Deviant short action for my 6.5 prc build. It fed just fine. If you build it on a long action the rounds will probably release from the magazine too soon and not feed correctly. If you build it on a medium action you will have to find a magazine that will feed 6.5 prc. I would...
