    POI Consistency

When I can pull myself together, pretty consistent. Handloads definitely behave better than the match ammo I'd been shooting previously - always had one errant shot per group. Gotten out of practice on getting my heart-rate down and breathing where it should be. Been working on getting my...

    Savage extraction/ejection tweeks?

Try shooting it first. May not have to worry about swapping the bolt head or tuning the extractor yet. Have an older 10FP (.223), no issues with factory parts on extraction or ejection. Have close to 1600 rounds down the tube.

Savage Model 10 FCP-K Law Enforcement Series in .223 Please share pet loads!

I have the older 10FP in .223, and I've got 2 pet loads that produce really nice groups when I can do my part. 69gr Nosler Custom Comp. BTHP - 25.1gr H335, Wolf SRP (have had great luck with them), COL of 2.260". 75gr Hornady Match BTHP - 25.1gr H335, Wolf SRP, COL of 2.390". No signs...

    AR BCG issue?

OP, I'm sure Joseph at JoeBob's will take care of the issue. Joseph is a stand-up guy, as you'd expect a veteran/owner to be. I'd say you got a dud, mine polished up beautifully. *When you say "partially ejecting", is the spent brass still in the upper when it's stripping the next round out...

Clamp on vs Set screw gas blocks...

Neither. Low profile block and have it pinned, unless it's a true precision build. IIRC, pinning can lead to vertical stringing when the barrel gets warmer. But if it's not a precision rig, pin that bitch and be done with it. JMO.

    300 blk subsonic supressed build.

For me, I ended up with a T2 buffer and Wolff XP spring on the 16" Noveske barrel with pistol-length gas. YMMV depending on ammo used. *Double-Edged, make sure your block is secured. Fellow I shoot with has the 9" AAC set-up (factory) and the gas block wasn't secured. Had a hell of a time...

    WOA SPR barrel issues

I'm in the same range with mine. Tend to use a lot of YHM rails (since I can fit a can inside them) and normally I end up in the mid 30 to almost 40 ft/lbs range. After being taught by a local 'smith that specializes in AR's, it's become much more enjoyable to build my own. *Didn't know...

    300 blk subsonic supressed build.

The 2 300BLK's I built both ran Noveske barrels with the pistol-length gas system and the included non-adjustable gas block. The 16" would run subs with a can, with a lighter buffer and standard carbine action spring. For supersonic ammo I ran a T2 buffer and Wolff XP action spring. The 12.2"...

    WOA SPR barrel issues

I'm not a professional builder, but I'd at least try the Loctite and see if it leads to any improvements. The last 5 builds I've done have all been fantastic shooters, easily more accurate than I was (with the given optic - Aimpoint PRO/EO-Tech 512), and I have to say, in my experiences, the...

    WOA SPR barrel issues

OK, assuming (and no offense meant to you) that it's the bow and not the indian. Another question. Did you bed the barrel extension? I know you said it felt snug, but you'd be surprised at what a drop of Loctite on a barrel extension can do to help shrink group size. Another thing to consider...

    WOA SPR barrel issues

OK, just getting the basic and obvious stuff out of the way first. :)

    WOA SPR barrel issues

Make of the rail? How did you torque the barrel nut? Did you grease the receiver threads before torquing? Barrel extension, how did it feel in the receiver - loose, snug, just a small minute amount of play??

What type/brand of upper receiver did you use?

Need help picking an AR15 Barrel

Noveske barrels have yet to disappoint me. But they are out of your $100 - $300 range, new. BCM's lightweight barrels have also done very well by me, and they're close to your price range, but to the upper end of your listed range. *And a thought, instead of trying to get a same-plane height...

Bedding with loctite building a DM rifle

I'll agree, green is definitely not the easiest to break loose when replacement time comes - takes some time with a heat gun before it starts letting go. On the flip side though, I know it won't prematurely let go if the mood hits me and I do a few mag dumps - which I am guilty of from time to time.

Bedding with loctite building a DM rifle

Personally, I do it on all my builds. Yes, it does make it a PITA to pop a toasted barrel out after it's seen better days, but I have actually had noticeable reductions (although slight, still noticeable) in group size by doing so. 1 drop of green Loctite, spread thinly around the barrel...

    Bore sighting 308 AR

Any specific distance you guys use when doing that? I ask because when I tried that method on a 10" plate at 100 yards with a .50 Beowulf, well, let's just say it didn't exactly help any.

Can't find thread about quiet buffer and spring for AR

When I ran my 16" and 12.2" 300BLK (Noveske barrel, pistol-length gas) unsuppressed and suppressed, I absolutely HAD to swap springs and buffers for reliable operation. Unsuppressed - Wolfe XP spring and T2 buffer (16"). Suppressed - Standard carbine spring and H buffer (16"). Come to think of...
