Night Vision Coyote hunting setup questions

Your setup sounds like it works well for your scenario and you have had much success with it. My night hunting setup is different and exclusive to calling for coyotes. Some of my stands have lasted a very long time, some lasting a couple of hours without taking a step. Targets come from and can...

Night Vision Coyote hunting setup questions

I highly recommend having a thermal scanner separate from the rifle. Not only is it unsafe to swing the rifle around to scan, it becomes tiring in very little time. If money is an issue and $5000 is at the high end of your budget, look at the Pulsar XQ lineup of scopes and scanners. They won’t...

Cut down 26" Remington 308 barrel

I cut mine to 20" to run suppressed and it shoots 175 smk's pretty well with Varget.

    Gunsmithing Intricacies of muzzle brakes

Sounds to me like you should machine identical size and weight brakes with the only difference being the distance between muzzle and first port. Post up your results when the experiment is complete.

    Rifle Scopes CS Tatical

Purchased some NF rings from them recently and was impressed with their communication and fast shipping. Will certainly look to them for future needs. Please post up some pics of your builds for those of us with little to no experience with them.

    Gun Vault

We have a 10'x11' concrete room in our newly built home. Walls and ceiling are 8" thick reinforced concrete. The safe door (not yet installed) is American Security brand that I purchased through a dealer in Iowa because there wasn't anyone local selling them. I think I have about $4500 into the...

    Are varmint rifles, expendable?

You won't see me selling my 17Rem, 204's, or 223's anytime soon. Shooting hundreds of rounds in a prairie dog town is way to much fun with those rifles and my 22-250 and 243 won't last very long if I used them for that purpose. Coyote pelts up here aren't "get rich" high in price but if I shoot...

    TriggerTech - reviews, thoughts, recommendations...?

I have had the standard TT for some time now. Compared to the two Timney triggers that I have (all three in Rem 700s) I prefer the TT. When adjusted to the same pull weights I feel the TT has a cleaner, crisper break than either Timney. The only negative thing I have to say about the TT is...

Rifle Scopes Leveling Scope Driving Me Crazy - Gen 2 Razor on 700 5R

I have never had any luck with the Wheeler levels. POS if you ask me. I really like the look of the Badger level! Thanks for that and the video of leveling the NF!

    Shooting mats

Another vote for the Midway mat. I like the padding it provides for long days at prairie dog towns.

I haven't seen one that wasn't a shooter! One of the best factory rifle offerings IMO.
