Entry Level Custom Rifle - Northwest Action Works

Received a trued action from them last fall for a rifle build. One ragged hole at 100. I'd say it will shoot.

Rifle Scopes Need some help with a sub $500 scope

Weaver makes a tactical 3-15 FFP that may be an option for you. It has a rebate currently. It would still be around 650 at least, but You may be ale to catch it on sale or get a dealer to work with you on the price. Illuminated FFP with decent glass at a price well below others. Check it out and...

Rifle Scopes March hunting scopes. How do they stack up?

I have it currently. I got mine about a month ago. Excellent weight and clarity. If considering getting one, I wouldn't be afraid. Great scope with good features that comes in a light package when compared to others when considering a hunting oriented build.

    Rifle Scopes Huskemaw scope?

Agree with above. Get into something with a mil or MOA system. You are about to NF and razor territory at that price.

Rifle Scopes Opinions on optics selection

Be sure to take the Weight into account. If not carrying a long ways, then this is not as critical. Vortex razor has an excellent reticle and lots of features. Plus a killer warranty to cover it. March is another option you can look at that is in the lighter weight category. They are new here...

They are bulky, but they work. Hasn't seemed to bother me yet when carrying or moving in and out of cases, safes, etc

    Hydro Dipping?

Talked to someone today about this vs other methods. Their experience is that duracoat is much more durable.

    Duracoat or paint? for DIY

Just had this discussion today and decided on dura coat. Ranchhand, I believe the rifle is supposed to be in the tractor. Best moving blind on the planet when it comes to coyotes.

Rifle Scopes Kelbys pushed me over the fence...

Good pick up. I have the 2.5-25 new this year. Mainly hunt, so needed covered turrets. The weight and features/quality is hard to beat.

Rifle Scopes Tree reticles what are the options.

Vortex makes another reticle in the cheaper line called the XLR but I believe in SFP is where I have seen it. Not sure if it is FFP. You could check out holland reticles as well.

Rifle Scopes question about a scope resting on top of a picc. rail

Agreed. I recently put a different scope on the AR for hunting longer distances this spring. I had the 1.5" mount and now went to medium rings. It is really low and uncomfortable.

    Hunting & Fishing New Glass

SS makes a FFP 3-9 and is going to be coming out with a 3-15 this spring. 600 for the 3-9. There is a thread on here for the other scope to check out.

I also like this set up. Easy to store and securely holds rifle. Can be found for a steal if you look long enough

what are your thoughts on boots?

Check out crispi boots or kennetrex. They are the next step up from danners etc. I have had danner boots and abused a pair of pronghorns in water and hill country. They are still waterproof after about 6 years. The crispi is very supportive in comparison, but pricy

Rifle Scopes Opinions on optics selection

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST 1-4 what mount should I use???

All depends what you want. Ability to remove, the larue and bobro are pry top of the line. The Burris PEPR is a way to go on the cheap but likely not gonna hold zero like the others. This scope has excellent eye relief btw. Allows you to get it forward to better get at charging handle
