    First time using Google Skeptchup 8 to design my first chassis for my Savage MKII F. It's not done yet. I was just messing around to practice some of the shaping tools and how to manipulate things. I found a local guy that has CNC machine and will charge me $50/hour to cut it out of 6061...

    i agree. its better to be safe than sorry. thats why i keep turning down custom projects for people because i dont want to deal with ffl manufacturing license, ITAR fees ($2k+), etc . id rather just provide free information and let that person DIY or just pay a gunsmith to do the retrofit...
