Re: Nightforce Zero Stop - Homegrown Have to agree. You can do it but the warranty will be shot. Might be better to using good markings or sell on the HIDE and get one with zero stop.

Gunsmithing Shortening a barrel on .300 win mag?

Re: Shortening a barrel on .300 win mag? This info came right from a reliable military group. They began cutting their 300 win barrels down from 26 inches and did not see losses until 23". You will here people disagree, I shoot one with a 22.5" barrel for long range competition. I would cut...

    Reccomended Red Dot for 10/22?

Re: Reccomended Red Dot for 10/22? Just built a 10/22 with PWS T3 carbon barrel and all the goodies and then I got to the scope. Sounds like we are using the rifle in similar usage. The Burris Fastfire III with 3moa dot was the trick for me. Believe me I tried a few before setting with this...

    Just purchased a McMillan a3-5.....Questions?

Re: Just purchased a McMillan a3-5.....Questions? A McMillan should always be bedded. The pillars will also have to be bedded. You can either do it yourself but I would recommend taking it to a great gunsmith because many will mill out parts of the stock before bedding them.

Rifle Scopes New Savage 116 30-06 w/ accustock- scope recommend

Re: New Savage 116 30-06 w/ accustock- scope recommend Lately Leupold has not impressed me. I have had trouble with the last two I have owned. Bushnell is not my first choice but everyone says they stand behind their product. I personally have had great luck with Nikon. Before switching to...

    Rifle Scopes Scope Mounting

Re: Scope Mounting NO, the quality of the mount and proper mounting can help prevent that. TPS rings have always been great for me and never seem to leave marks. Just follow the torquing directions and they always seem to perform and protect that expensive glass.

    Gunsmithing NEF 17hmr trigger

Re: NEF 17hmr trigger I would look for a aftermarket trigger for that rifle. If that does not exist take it to a good gunsmith, if your not a hundred percent sure with how to adjust that trigger it should probably not be tried.

Rifle Scopes Leo Mark 4 6x opinions

Re: Leo Mark 4 6x opinions Have not had good luck with the mark 4. I current shoot Nightforce and IOR and would bet my life on there repeatable dials and the clarity. Nothing wrong the mark 4 but I think dollar for dollar you can have a better product. I shoot a lot a competition and hunting...

Stevens 200 build - "Simple Jack"

Re: Stevens 200 build - "Simple Jack" I love the cheaper builds. Shoot the barrel out of it and enjoy every second of it. We all get caught up in this custom rifles to much. I am guilty as well. I have a used Remington police that shoots as good as many custom builds I seen.

Remington 700 SPS .308 and AICS stock

Re: Remington 700 SPS .308 and AICS stock I also agree get the faster twist and if you get the chassis get the folding. The folding is great because you trying to clean a gun without the folding means removing the chassis. Trust me it's worth the extra bucks.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Ruger LC9

Re: Ruger LC9 I shot one with the Galloway upgrades and loved it. Just such a long wait for the parts. I had a back fusion and have to wear a large brace and that is why I purchased the pistol. I use to always carry a 1911 but this was best suited for my brace. I like the gun with critical...

    free float 1022

Re: free float 1022 It works well with my PWS carbon barrel but I used a new v-block that raised the barrel which free floated it off the stock. The Primary Weapons System T3 barrel with green tag ammo really produces one hole 10 shot groups at 50 yards. The gun really improved after the...

    Questions

Re: Questions About the magnum research rifle... I would high recommend building one yourself and get exactly what you want. I built one using a Primary Weapons System T3 tension carbon barrel and all the other goodies I could find and now have a light, super accurate dream 10/22. Best part...
