    Thank you for the detailed information, CA48. I checked with TBAC for min. barrel length for 30-06 with the Dominus CB and they said 16" should be fine. Their website lists min. barrel lengths for 308 at 12.5 and 300 WM at 18" so I feel pretty comfortable going 16.5". I'm going to do it!

    Any experience with shorty 30-06? Yes, I know, old school, no one shoots that anymore, etc. My first suppressor is in jail and I am going to cut down and thread the rifle used for most of my hunting. Most shots where I hunt are 200 yds. and in. I know 20" will easily work for my application...

    It will serve you well. It is one of the best bang for the buck scopes available for F-Class. I use one with the SCR-1 for F-T/R. Many prefer the ECR-1 reticle, though.
