    Is it a bad idea to use an aluminum pic rail with steel rings

    I was doing so research and I read that using a aluminum rail with steel rings is a bad idea, as the thermo expansion of the rail and rings will be at a different rate.

    I have been looking at the Sightron scopes. What I am seeing is it seems that the scopes with the 1/8 moa clicks are the more desirable, but not sure if the fine cross-hair or 1/8 moa target dot reticles are best for FT/R.

    I see you say that 168 gr MK's are no good for 1000 yards. But how's about for 600 yards? My limited experience at 600 yards seems to show that the 168 gr MK's seem OK at 600 yards, but I would like your opinion. Thanks

    Re: Interesting observation with my SS 10x42M ken, Don't think it was mirage as I was shooting a 100 yards with no mirage visible and stable conditions. But the optical illusion theory is defiantly possible. Like to hear more from others on this possibility.
