Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster recommendation for CQB

Re: Holster recommendation for CQB I don't work in LE, but carry concealed with other reliable go-to guns. This is my first 1911; but Wilson's first-rate quality might make it my go-to gun in the future. For now, I'm just having fun practicing and getting comfortable with it; which is not...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster recommendation for CQB

Just got a CQB Elite. Any good suggestions for a holster? Need good retention, fast draw, quality lining to reduce wear, and non-concealed. Of course quality construction and durability is a must. Thanks for your input.

Has Anyone Ordered From Spikes Tactial?

Re: Has Anyone Ordered From Spikes Tactial? Got a good price on LWRC upper, and mated it to a Spikes lower. No problems to date, and great price.

    Suppressors Form 3

Re: Form 3 In my situation, I see a Surefire FA338 that would work on my OBR 308. I suppose it'll save me 1) tax, 2) transfer stamp if individual has a "Form 3", and 3) new retail markup? Trying to figure out if it'll save me much by going this route, or if I should just go retail.

    Suppressors Form 3

Re: Form 3 Got it - thanks. I presume a seller who mentions that it's "on a Form 3", means no wait time because the Form 3 was processed and item is in store.

    Suppressors Form 3

I finally figured out Form 4. Can someone explain how Form 3's work? Specifically, when someone has a Class 3 item to sell and has a "Form 3 waiting" - what is it? And what are the benefits compared to item for sale without that listed?

Suppressors Choosing a pistol - decocking VS saftey switch

Re: Choosing a pistol - decocking VS saftey switch Pistol safeties fall into the broad categories: 1. Manual safety. Often frowned upon for self defense guns because stress can cause user to momentarily forget direction to switch off, and whether it was on in the first place. If you choose...

Suppressors Drawing from different types of holsters

Re: Drawing from different types of holsters The better the concealment, typically the more harder to draw; because you have to go through layers of clothes. OWB is hard to conceal unless you wear a long over-shirt and/or jacket. I don't like shoulder cross-draw types because it's hard to...

Rifle Scopes Statistical Analysis on Scope Pricing

Re: Statistical Analysis on Scope Pricing You're either an 1) engineer, 2) actuarian, or 3) accountant. If you enjoy shooting, you're most likely #1. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">What I found was interesting was that just...

Rifle Scopes How hard do I have to cry?

Re: How hard do I have to cry? When I was young, I was given advice not to test drive a car I couldn't afford. Fortunately, in the scope world - quality exists at all price points; it's not a linear relationship between quality and price. Although I love my Hensoldt, the view through my cheap...

Suppressors Replacing uppers on registered SBR lowers

Re: Replacing uppers on registered SBR lowers Great, thanks for the quick responses. Interesting side note, I noticed the Form has "8.5 inches" listed, and the LWRC website lists "8.0 inches" for barrel length. Thinking the dealer made a mistake on the application, and wanting to avoid...

Suppressors Replacing uppers on registered SBR lowers

I finally received my Tax Stamp for my LWRC 6.8 PSD, which has an 8 inch barrel. If I buy another SBR upper for use on this lower, is there any additional paperwork that I need to file? What if it's a different caliber, ie. 556?
