    Re: 7.62x51 vs. .308 in Rem 700 OP, don't worry about 7.62x51 in your .308 chamber. No problems there. In my earlier post, I was referencing the .308's 12,000psi increase in max pressure (I'm not an expert but if there is the possibility of a gun blowing up in my face, I'd try to avoid it).
