Gunsmithing DIY savage bolt lift kit...

Re: DIY savage bolt lift kit... So who can I buy the single ball bearing mod from? I will actually pay someone to put one together and ship it to me, I would do it except I don't have the time which is bad because I am actually a Diesel Mechanic. If someone has the mod with spacer they would...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Long, hi-capacity mags for Glocks?

Re: Long, hi-capacity mags for Glocks? Check out Kriss. Tey make the extensions for their Super V which makes a G21 mag a 30rd I believe.

    Gunsmithing AR trigger problem.

Re: AR trigger problem. Well the disconnect or was fine as was the trigger. The hammer was the issue. I looked at the sear engagement area and it looked like half of it was worn or filed away just slightly. If I can get a good picture I'll post it. I threw a factory DPMS hammer in and it...

    Gunsmithing AR trigger problem.

So I took out my newly built AR today for its initial flogging but I was quickly halted when the first 6 rounds went full auto. Upon closer inspection ipthe issue is when you let go of the trigger after firing the hammer misses catching the sear and fires again. And again. But it not happens...

    Latest build.

Re: Latest build. Yea I have a rail I am going to mount on the tube I just have to find the correct tap to tap the holes. The lower parts kit is just a cheap one ($55) so the trigger is garbage. I tried to do the best I could with some stones and a polishing wheel but I still need to replace it.

    savage MKII barrel

Re: savage MKII barrel The barrel has two pins, one roll pin and one solid. Easy to remove, just pound out. Then pull out the forward most mag well bolt/stud and the barrel should pull out. It may not be easiest thing to pull out but maybe some love taps with a rubber mallet or dead blow and...

    22/45 trigger work

Re: 22/45 trigger work YouTube worked for me. Or check out rimfirecentral.com. Just watch out for the sear spring, make sure you pull it out of the groove in the pin before you push it out. Ask me how I know about that. It's pretty easy after you do it once or twice.

    Home Made Power Debur tooling

Re: Home Made Power Debur tooling I like that you separate your reloading setup into three benches. Keeps you focused on each step. I agree, why buy something when you can make it.

Suppressors AAC tiRANT .45 vs .45S?

Re: AAC tiRANT .45 vs .45S? I have a Ti45 pending now and it's crazy how light it is. The 2" wouldn't be worth it, but if that's all your dealer has in stock go with it. I had to wait a month or so for mine to come before I could even start the paperwork.

    Savage Mark II Stock

Re: Savage Mark II Stock I believe Boyd's makes the stocks for the TRs. I got one for mine and at $100 you can't go wrong. You just need to get a new trigger guard from DIP or savage if you are going from the terrible synthetic stock.

    Mark II TR

Re: Mark II TR I run a BSA contender 6-24x40. Gets kinda dark at 24x but perfect at 18x. I shoot 100yds and it works perfectly for it. I just added a Boyd's tacticool stock and it is a night and day difference from the plastic kiddie factory junk.

    Tacticool mark II

Re: Tacticool mark II How much you charge to do it? haha. I don't know enough about bedding so I don't really want to mess things up. This is the exact setup I have tho, I can imagine the improvement bedding makes.

New Tactical stock for Savage Mark II

Re: New Tactical stock for Savage Mark II I just picked up a MKII this weekend. I haven't found a lot of aftermarket support for it but it's a great shooter so I'm not too worried. Who else is shooting .22 F-class?
