    Re: Mueller APT on a .308? What height rings and base did you use? I was thinking of using the Weaver tactical rings, the ones with the six screws, not sure about the base?

    Rifle Scopes Mueller APT on a .308?

    Anyone using this NEW MUELLER APT (ALL PURPOSE TACTICAL) SCOPE. 4.5X14 40MM on your .308? I know it isn't a top of the line but I'm not going to be using this rifle for life/death situations and thought that this might be good. Price is $145 shipped and it has a 30mm tube.

    Re: Savage 10fp LE1 opinions? Yea saw it, but I'm looking for a varmint style the same way he is. I have a friend that has s 11fp 20" with some type of Choate stock, can't remember exactly the style but I'm hoping I'll end up with it shortly.

    Any thoughts or negatives on this Savage model 10fp LE1, .308 with a 20" barrel.  Found a slightly used one and just curious if there is any opinions out there.

    barrel cutting ?

    I have a Savage 22-250 with a blued 26" barrel. I would like to shorten the barrel to 20" or 22". Would this hurt the performance much? How should I refinish the end once it has been chopped? thanks
