Rifle Scopes New guy with some questions

Re: New guy with some questions Before i went with the monarch x i would buy a good used leupold LR way more MOA adjustment then the monarch x. That was the only downfall with the X. I was disappointed in the amount of adjustment the x had.

Rifle Scopes New guy with some questions

Re: New guy with some questions I would run the 4200 with a 20MOA rail depending on what caliber your rifle is. Or you could sale the two scopes you got and go with a PST like 71firebird400 suggested. But again out of the two you have my vote is for the 4200.

Re: loading for the 7mm rem mag Yes sir 200yrds .144 just a one hole. I measured the outside and subtracted the .284 came out to .144 and that was conservative. Three shot group i only loaded three because of how much i was over on the charge weight compared to the hodgen load data. No...

    Primer issues? Hot Loads?

Re: Primer issues? Hot Loads? I was having the same issue with a 243. When i was fl sizing i was getting to much head space. I adjusted my die out just a tad and the flatting went away. Another thing when you seat the bullet is the seating pressure all the same. Or dose some seat a lot easier...

    Rifle Scopes Scope ring lapping???

Re: Scope ring lapping??? Yes it is worth it 100%. when ya lap the rings it creates a full contact around the scope tube. It saves your tube from having ring mars 99% of the time for one. And it gives ya even pressure around the tube. In stead of just pressure in a couple small areas. It...
