    Why not buy a timney for 100 bucks and move on with your life. You have already ate up more than 100 bucks worth of time at this point. And even if you get it fixed will you ever trust it again?

    Cool Idea for temp target stand

    Not necessarily for steel but for other stuff. every October my inlaws have a "harvest Party" at the farm. I bring out my .338 and 12 gauge and all the tannerite I have stocked up through out the year and blow the hell out of stuff. It's a big high point of the year and people look forward to it...

    Why not attach it to the stock so it doesn't make actual contact with the barrel so as to not throw of the barrel harmonics? Or have you noticed it doesn't matter?

    I agree. I spent way to much money on tow chains only to shoot it off with my .300 win. It seems when ever I missed it was ALWAYS high and at 9 or 3 oclock right through the chain. Pro tip don't expect even high end chain to be bullet proof.

    Home made scope leveling jig....

    If a guy really wanted to be OCD he would use a surface plate and machinist level to get the scope within .001 or so. But I doubt it would be worth the effort. I love the cheapo counter top it makes for an awesome surface for re-loading.

    Gunsmithing Thinking about Losing the Fixture and Just using the 4 Jaw

    I just bought a heavy ten that came with a six jaw and didnt think I could make a fixture without extending out it so far. Killswitch I need to link up with you and scott next time you do a barrel to learn. I just bought a new house so it's a few months till I get the lather up and running.

    SWFA and Weaver rings, a man after my own "Budget build" heart. Those SWFA SS scopes are excellent for the money. I actually like the houge stocks again for the price for a simple install. I think spending over 1500 bucks on a .308 (not including optics) is un-necassary unless it is legitimately...
