Re: Basic powder questions H-4895 is part of Hodgon's extreme rifle powders. Its less temp sensitive. Varget is also part of hodgon's extremem rifle powder and works very well if you can find it.

Full Length Re-Size or Just Neck Size for .300 WM

Re: Full Length Re-Size or Just Neck Size for .300 WM I just backed out my full length die to the chamber. I bought the hornady headspace gauge. If you neck size I think you have to full length size every 5 to 6 rounds i think. Backing the die out also works the brass less.

    308 Question ?

Re: 308 Question ? The barrel length doesn't matter. Have him load up some rounds for you. The 1 in 10 ttwist would probably work better with the 170-175 grain bullets. I'm running 44.4 grains of varget with a 168gr A-MAX.

    Flattened Primers

Re: Flattened Primers If your full length sizing that might be why. The brass is forming to the chamber and being pushed back.

    AR hand guard help

Re: AR hand guard help Great input guys. I just talked to my brother and he said not to go with the YHM (he seen some that looked like it in Iraq and they broke). He said it could break in some parts. I think I might go with larue because the no wiggle thingy, if not, I'll probably go with DD.

    AR hand guard help

Re: AR hand guard help I've looked at the Daniel Defense but am thinking of the YHM because I could get them right away. But if the Larue is worth it I might just save up and get it. The AR has rifle length guards. I'm just shooting for fun but want a AR that can reach out to 300 yards and...
